2023: Hayatu-Deen pledges to revamp economy if elected

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirant, Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, has pledged to revamp the economy of Nigeria if elected into office in 2023.
Hayatu-deen promised to transform the economy through several strategic reforms, saying once the economic crisis is resolved, insecurity would be a thing of the past in the country.
He made the promise on Thursday in Ikeja while addressing Lagos PDP delegates, urging them to intelligently make decision at the forthcoming party’s presidential primaries.
Speaking further, Hayatu-deen said: “Unemployment is at its peak and the number of youths, who are about 70 million, are angry and discouraged.
“I have always given a helping hands to the country. I was a member of the Committee on Privatisation. I worked closely with former president Olusegun Obasanjo between 1999 and 2007.
“What I am saying is that I am fully prepared to rule the country based on my background and experience as an economist, banker and a strategic planner. I have built a strong relationship in the country and have travelled all over the world.
“I have the character and I believe that I have the right values confered on me from childhood; my work ethics also work for me. I hate to see people suffer, hungry or denied access to what they deserve. I have concern about the country and I will serve you honestly.”
The presidential aspirant stated that most of the crises in the country are on account of a broken economy that has been left unattended to for many years.
According to him, there is no need for any man to carry cutlass to go and kill others if he has gainful employment.
He said that having been a turnaround and tested manage he would use his experience for the country and rehabilitate the economy.
The politician said that the first thing is to stop the bleeding of the economy and stabilize it with reforms from poverty, lack of access to utility, good schools and other facilities.
He said that the nation should be industrialised like South Korea, UAE and others.

He noted that the people have the right to hold their leaders accountable and vote them out of office after four years or return them based on performance.
