2023: I’ve come to liberate Lagosians from oppressors- Adediran

Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Olajide Adediran (Jandor), says his ambition is targeted at liberating the people of the state from the hands of oppressors.

Adediran said that his government would change the face of governance in the state if elected in 2023.

He made this assertion on Sunday when he visited the League of Imams and Alfas in Ikosi Ejinrin area of Epe Local Government.

The PDP governorship candidate stated that he would run his government with fear of God.

He said: “I am not a product of Godfatherism.

“I am assuring you that our government will be run with the fear of God because I am not a product of godfatherism. I will run people-oriented government and provide quality education for our children.”

While reacting, President of the League of Imams and Alfas, Alhaji Abdulrahman Olatunji, urged eligible voters to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and vote their choice, saying it is by that they would instal the government that would cater for their well being.

“I will urge you all to go and collect your PVCs because it is through that you can instal him as the governor. We are satisfied with what you told us today and we want to believe that you will fulfil the promises made,” Olatunji.said.

Meanwhile, Adediran while addressing supporters and members of the PDP at the party’s secretariat in Agbowa-Ikosi, Ikosi Ejinrin LCDA, said that governorship candidates must be familiar with the states they want to govern.

He said that he decided to tour the 245 wards in the state so that he could know the challenges in all the areas in the state.

Adediran informed the people that they would have a governor that would take care of them from 2023.

The governorship candidate also promised to care for the non-indigenes, who he said would not be treated like second class citizens.
