2025 Anambra Guber: 1,630 delegates to choose APC candidate

1,630 accredited delegates have filed out to pick the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the 2025 Anambra governorship election.

The accreditation started by 9.30am at Marble Arch hotel, the venue for the people of Awka North Senatorial zone while the Beautiful gate hotel in Agu-Awka, hosts the delegates from the Central and South Senatorial zones respectively.

The battle for the part’s ticket has narrowed down to between Prof Obiora Okonkwo and Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu.

Others contesting for the APC ticket, are Valentine Ozigbo, Johnbosco Onunkwo and Edozie Madu

Anambra State has 21 local government areas and the 1,630 delegates are from the three Senatorial zones.

Also, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) is holding its primary today (Saturday) with Governor Chukwuma Soludo as the sole aspirant.

While the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has no aspirant, Dr George Moghalu is the only aspirant of the Labour Party(LP) with the withdrawal of his opponent, John Nwosu on Friday night.
