2025 President Federation Cup begins with national playoff

This year’s President Federation Cup will kick off on Wednesday, March 5, with playoff matches.

According to a statement by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), clubs in both the men’s and women’s categories will battle for spots in the preliminary stage of the competition.

While 20 teams will compete in the men’s category, only two teams will face off in the women’s category.

Below are the fixtures and venues for the playoffs:

MEN

  • Ahudiyannem FC (Abia) vs. OISA FC (Imo) – Enugu
  • Eagle Eye FC (Akwa Ibom) vs. E-World FC (Cross River) – Owerri
  • De Sapele Lions (Delta) vs. Assemblies of God FC (Edo) – Awka
  • El-Shama FC (Gombe) vs. Velvot Academy (Adamawa) – Jalingo
  • Technobat FC (Taraba) vs. Flight FC (Benue) – Jos
  • Gujba Academy (Yobe) vs. CP Strikers (Borno) – Gombe
  • Kogi Central LG (Kogi) vs. Harmony FA (Niger) – Abuja
  • Sunshine Stars U19 (Ondo) vs. COPDEM FC (Ekiti) – Osogbo
  • Simon Ben FC (Kaduna) vs. Zamfara United (Zamfara) – Katsina
  • Discovery Talent Academy (Kebbi) vs. Sokoto North FC (Sokoto) – Minna

WOMEN

  • First Mahi Babes (Ebonyi) vs. Queen of Softlanding FC (Enugu) – Aba

All matches will be played on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. Any club that fails to appear at the match venue will be fined N1,000,000. Failure to pay the fine will result in a two-year ban from the competition.
