The AMBO Legacy Group has declared its strong support for Alhaji Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji’s governorship ambition, urging the All Progressives Congress (APC) to adopt him as its candidate for the 2026 Osun State election.

The group, comprising professionals across various sectors globally, described Oyebamiji—an Ikire-born technocrat and politician—as an ideal candidate with outstanding credentials, leadership experience, and a deep commitment to public service.

In a statement issued on Sunday in Osogbo, the group’s coordinator, Alhaji Aderemi TJ, a retired banker and finance consultant, highlighted Oyebamiji’s impressive career in both public and private sectors.

He praised Oyebamiji’s ongoing role as Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), where he has reportedly led the agency to notable operational achievements.

According to the group, Oyebamiji’s academic credentials include Master’s degrees in Public Administration and Business Administration. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, the Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria, and the Association of Enterprise Risk Management Professionals.

Aderemi further noted Oyebamiji’s contributions to Osun State’s development during his tenure as Commissioner for Finance under former Governors Rauf Aregbesola and Adegboyega Oyetola. He emphasized that Oyebamiji’s private sector experience—particularly in banking—has equipped him with the skills to drive economic growth.

The group praised his integrity, vision, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, describing him as a collaborative leader who listens actively, communicates clearly, and builds strong relationships across diverse communities.

They concluded by calling on the APC to consider Oyebamiji’s qualifications and track record in selecting its flag bearer for the 2026 governorship election.
