2027: APC will record landslide victory nationwide — Yilwatda

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has declared that the ruling party is on course for a sweeping victory in the 2027 general elections.

Yilwatda made the statement on Saturday in Dungun, Kanke Local Government Area of Plateau State, shortly after casting his vote during the party’s ongoing presidential primary election.

The APC chairman, who was accompanied by former Plateau State Governor and Senator representing Plateau South, Simon Lalong, described the APC as the dominant political force in Nigeria with growing grassroots support across the country.

“The massive turnout of people shows how the party has penetrated rural communities and villages,” Yilwatda said.

“It also shows that the people believe in the APC and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.”

Expressing confidence ahead of the next general elections, Yilwatda stated: “For us, 2027 is a walkover; APC will record a landslide victory across Nigeria.”

He also pledged to reconcile aggrieved members of the party, particularly aspirants who lost during the primaries, stressing that unity within the APC would strengthen its electoral chances.

Speaking at the event, Senator Simon Lalong promised to support the national chairman in ensuring victory for the APC at all levels in future elections.

Also speaking, Chairman of Kanke Local Government Area, Lapchin Golime, assured the party of overwhelming support for President Tinubu and Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang in the forthcoming polls.
