2027: Lagos Lawmaker mobilises supporters for Tinubu, Hamzat, other APC candidates
A member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Obafemi Saheed, has declared his support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and the election of other All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the 2027 general elections.
Saheed endorsed the party’s Lagos governorship candidate, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat; Senator Tokunbo Abiru for Lagos East Senatorial District; Mayor Dele Oshinowo for Kosofe Federal Constituency; and Dr. Muritala Seriki for Kosofe Constituency II.
The lawmaker, who represents Kosofe Constituency II, made the declaration at a stakeholders’ meeting with his supporters in the constituency.
He said the meeting provided an opportunity to address aggrieved constituents and other stakeholders who had expressed dissatisfaction with the outcome of the party’s recent primaries.
“I assured them that all issues have been amicably resolved by the leadership of our great party and that the principles of internal democracy have been duly upheld to foster a more formidable and united political family,” Saheed said.
He added that the resolution reflected the party’s collective determination to approach the next general elections as a united progressive family.
Saheed pledged his commitment to working for the party’s victory and urged his supporters to deploy their political structures to mobilise support for all APC candidates.
“I am throwing my full weight behind the election of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, Senator Tokunbo Abiru, Mayor Dele Oshinowo and Dr. Muritala Seriki for a resounding victory in the January 2027 general elections,” he said.
