Dangote signs multi-million dollars gas supply agreement with NNPC, three others

Dangote Fertiliser Company has signed a multi-million dollars Joint Venture with Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, Shell, Total and ENI towards supplying 70 million standard cubic feet (scuf).

The agreement was signed at the Nigeria International Energy Summit (NIES).

In agreement for the signing were President of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote; Group Managing Director of NNPC, Mallam Mele Kyari; Country Chair of Osagie Okunbor; and ENI representative.

Speaking on the agreement, Dangote said it would help in giving more access fertilizers in the country.

Also speaking, Kyari said the deal was important to the production of fertiliser and agro-economic growth.

“As you are aware, Dangote fertaliser is one of the biggest producers of fertaliser and this deal, which is to offer 70m scuf per day to Dangote fertiliser by the JV, will contribute to the surge of Fertaliser production in Nigeria. Of course, it will tremendously be posirive to our agro-economy,”

Dangote Fertiliser Plant – situated in a 500 hectares of land in Lekki Free Trade Zone, Lagos – is Africa’s largest Granulated Urea Fertiliser complex.
