3 injured as gunmen attack business owners in Ibadan

Armed robbers on Wednesday attacked a shop in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, leaving at least three persons injured.

The incident, which occurred around 11:00 a.m. in the Mokola area of the city, caused panic among residents.

According to eyewitness accounts, the victims were about to enter the store to purchase provisions meant for retail when they were attacked. The assailants reportedly carted away an undisclosed sum of money during the raid.

The injured individuals were quickly taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Confirming the incident, the Public Relations Officer of the Oyo State Police Command, Adewale Osifeso, said that an investigation into the incident had commenced.
