4 rescued as 3-storey building collapses in Lagos Island

A three-storey building on Thursday collapsed on Lagos Island, injuring some occupants.
The building located on Asesi Lane around the Adeniji Adele Road went down suddenly early Thursday.
The Commissioner for Information, Gbenga Omotoso on his facebook page on Thursday said “Four persons have been rescued from the rubble. They have been taken to hospital”.
Omotoso stated ” A three-storey building has collapsed on Lagos Island. It is not yet clear why 2/4, Asesi Lane, Sasi Lane, (SASI Palace), Adeniji Adele Road went down. Four persons have been rescued from the rubble.


” They have been taken to hospital. Emergency responders at the incident scene are LASEMA, LASAMBUS, Lagos State Fire Service, LNSC, LASTMA and the Police”.
Emergency responders from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), among others, have since gotten to the incident scene.
