7th Annual Ramadan Lecture: Ogun monarch charges youths to uphold discipline, diligence, creativity

His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, the Olu of Ilaro, Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, and Chairman of the Ogun State Council of Obas, has hosted the 7th Oba Olugbenle Annual Ramadan Lecture at his Private Palace.
The event brought together traditional rulers, community leaders, religious scholars, and youth leaders for insightful discussions on leadership, faith, and the vital role of youth in national development.

This year’s lecture, themed “The Role of Islamic Values in Enhancing Youth Productivity and Contribution to National Development,” was delivered by Alhaji Imam Khidir Al-Hassan Ewuoso.
Imam Ewuoso segmented his audience into generational groups, each with distinct roles in shaping the nation’s future, challenging the youths to embrace hard work, discipline, and innovation to drive meaningful contributions to national development.

In his remarks, Oba Olugbenle urged young people to uphold discipline, diligence, and creativity, emphasizing their crucial role in national progress.
He expressed gratitude to fellow monarchs, the guest speaker, other Islamic scholars, all attendees, and the Planning Committee for their efforts in bringing the event to fruition.

The 7th Oba Olugbenle Annual Ramadan Lecture was a resounding success, fostering deep reflections. Despite the rain, the lecture continued uninterrupted, with the audience maintaining full attention until the very end.
