OAP Toke Makinwa celebrates first Mother’s Day with daughter

Media personality, Toke Makinwa, has expressed profound gratitude to her daughter, Yaya, while celebrating her first Mother’s Day.

The broadcaster took to her Instagram page to share adorable photos of herself and her daughter, noting that she was able to receive personalised Mother’s Day messages because of her child, which she described as a joyful experience.

In a heartfelt message to her daughter, the media personality prayed that Yaya would never experience sadness or lose her mother.

“My very first Mother’s Day. Adunola, today I call you my Sweetness. My first fruit, the one who has come to pave the way. Ease is what you have brought; you make being your mummy easy,” she wrote.

She thanked God for the gift of motherhood, describing her daughter as her heartbeat and reason.

Makinwa also prayed that her daughter would never lose her smile and would grow to serve God and shine His light in her generation.

In another post, the media personality spoke about the challenges of motherhood, describing it as the “ghetto”, but said she would gladly go through the process again if given the chance.

She also prayed for those seeking the fruit of the womb and advised mothers to take care of themselves while raising their children.
