Actress Adunni Ade loses mother after prolonged illness
Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has announced the death of her mother following a prolonged illness.
The actress disclosed the news on Monday through her official Instagram page, where she shared pictures of her late mother and expressed grief over the loss.
In her message, Ade said her mother died after a long battle with illness, adding that the family had accepted her passing as the will of Almighty Allah.
She wrote, “With a heavy heart and submission to the will of Almighty Allah, I announce the passing of my beloved mother, who returned to her Creator after a long battle with illness”.
The actress prayed for Allah’s forgiveness and mercy for her mother, asking that her grave be filled with light and that she be granted Al-Jannah Firdaus.
She also prayed for strength and patience for the family as they navigate the painful loss, noting that funeral arrangements would be announced in due course.
Ade’s announcement attracted condolence messages from colleagues and fans in the entertainment industry, including actors Yemi Solade and Sophie Alakija, who expressed sympathy and offered prayers for the family.
Other celebrities, including Eso Dike, Damilola Oni, Rotimi Salami and Linda Osifo, also sent messages of condolence, praying for the peaceful repose of the deceased.
