A Tribe Called Judah: Funke Akindele expresses gratitude to Sanwo-Olu

Nigerian actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has expressed gratitude to the Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu after his congratulatory message to her following the success of her film, ‘A tribe called Judah.’

“Thank you so much My Governor. I truly appreciate this Your Excellency,” she wrote on her official X account.

Sanwo-Olu had personally lauded Akindele on his social media handles while urging her not to rest on her oars despite the success of one of her works.

Meanwhile, President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Akindele for breaking the record of the highest-grossing movie in Nigeria with her latest film.

In a press statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, the President praised Akindele’s ingenuity, creativity, and immense artistic talents, which he said have put Nigeria’s entertainment industry on the global map.

The film has currently grossed over N1 billion in cinemas since its release on December 15, 2023.
