…as Southwest youths rally for APC National Leader

National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Saturday said a united Nigeria is his dream where every young person will enjoy free education to the university level.

He also noted that Nigeria cannot continue without stable electricity which is part of development
Asiwaju Tinubu made this known at a youth rally, organised for him by the APC Progressive Youth South-West at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.

In his address, Asiwaju Tinubu said Lagos is one of the most progressive states in Nigeria and that the plan he put in place when he was the governor of Lagos State from 1999-2007 can be replicated in Nigeria as a country
He said: “As the future belongs to you the youths, we are the foundation, builders of Lagos . We can create the path of free education to university level across Nigeria. In Lagos today, secondary school students no longer pay for WAEC fees which was introduced when I was governor of Lagos State. A United Nigeria is our dream.
“We cannot continue to lament about the past, go out and get your PVC, revalidate your PVC if need be. You must develop a can attitude. This country is yours. We must change the narrative of banditry.”

In his opening remarks at the event, APC Youth Leader in Lagos State, Muritala Seriki noted that the youths believe that Asiwaju Tinubu can take the country to greater height, based on his antecedents as former governor of Lagos State and being a detribalized Nigerian.
Seriki spoke alongside the National Youth Leader of the APC, Dayo Israel and leaders of the APC Ethnic groups, as well as those in the South-West region, saying the youths have endorsed Asiwaju Tinubu for President.
In a Keynote address, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who appreciated the grand support for Asiwaju Tinubu noted that youths will continue to be identified as critical stakeholders, just as he enjoined all delegates to the APC primary to exercise their franchise wisely.
The event was attended by Lagos State Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat, APC chieftains, members of the national and the state House of Assembly among others.
