Abe commends Amaechi, Jack-Rich for courage to contest APC presidential primaries

Senator Magnus Abe has commended the two Rivers State sons, Rotimi Amaechi and Tein Jack-Rich who contested in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primaries.
He said this in Sunday at Bera, his hometown in Gokana LGA where over 30,000 Rivers people trooped out to welcome him.
“I particularly want to congratulate two of our own sons, Rt. Hon. CRA who contested gallantly.
“I congratulate him for his spirit of sportsmanship. I congratulate him for having the courage to step forward, and I thank the party and the President for providing a level playing field for everybody to compete freely and fairly.
“I have said here that if you go into a fair contest and you do not win, you will be disappointed but you will not be aggrieved, because to be aggrieved means you have a grievance. Grievance presupposes that something bad was done to you. But when nothing bad was done to you, and the delegates choose somebody, you will be disappointed but you will not be aggrieved.
“Nobody in the APC is aggrieved, but some of them may be disappointed. They have done well and we must commend them and thank them.
“The second person I will specially want to thank today is another of our own son, Dr Tein Jack-Rich who was also on the ballot. He contested. He may not have gotten any vote but for a young man to come up and have the audacity to say he wants to lead our country and present his own ideas to the Nigerian people, we must commend him and also congratulate him.
“That battle is now over. A candidate has emerged. It is now our responsibility as Rivers people, as Nigerians to come together even across party lines to deliver a President that can help our country. That person is Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and that is what we are going to be working for moving forward,” Abe said.
