Abiodun reacts to killing of ‘area boy’ Tommy, directs security agencies to restore law, order

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has directed the state Police Command to immediately restore order in the Oluwo axis of Onikolobo, Abeokuta, following the killing of an alleged ‘area boy’ simply identified as Tommy.
The killing of Tommy was said to have triggered panic in Oluwo and Panseke areas of the state capital, following fears of reprisal.
Abiodun, who is in Abuja for the APC convention, in his reacting to the killing directed the state police commissioner to move to the troubled zone to maintain law and order.
“My attention has been drawn to the unrest going on in some parts of Abeokuta. Information available to me says these dastardly acts are being perpetrated by some criminals tagged cultists.”
“To this extent, I have given the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command and other security agencies a marching order to go after those criminals responsible for this crisis and restore total peace.
“Parents and guardians are also advised to warn their children and wards, as there will be no room for any form of plea for anybody culpable for these despicable and condemnable acts,” Abiodun tweeted.
