Accord Party backs Adeleke, pledges people-centered governance for Osun

By Deborah Oladejo, Osogbo –
The Chairman of Accord Party in Lagos State, Dele Oladeji, has said that the party’s candidate in Osun State, Governor Ademola Adeleke, will deliver the best governance if elected in the August 8, 2026, gubernatorial election.
Oladeji, in a statement on Saturday in Osogbo, described Adeleke’s candidacy as the “refining stage that forms the fine cut of a diamond,” saying that the fusion of Adeleke and the Accord Party answers the people’s prayer for a good leader.
He said, “Governor Ademola Adeleke, a confirmed socio-economic welfarist on a pro-people platform, will deliver governance unprecedented in the last two decades in Osun State. He will also set an enviable governance template for the country.”
The statement quoted Adeleke as challenging his opposition candidates to a campaign focused on governance records rather than empty promises.
The governor said his campaign would highlight his three years in office and a new level of social infrastructural development, rather than the typical political pledges.
Adeleke, who said he would lead a trail of major, monumental project inaugurations throughout his campaign, noted that his governance over the past three years had earned him commendable monikers from the people, such as “Mr. Project,” “Talk-and-Do,” “the new Awo,” and “the man of the people.”
He reiterated his choice of Accord as his new party, describing it as a perfect alignment of his people-centered policies with the party’s pro-people ideology.
“It is the fusion of two pro-people entities, and the people of Osun State, as well as the democratic history of the state, will be the better for it,” Adeleke added.
