ACF suspends NEC Chairman, Osuman over unauthorized statement

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has suspended its National Executive Council (NEC) Chairman, Mr Mamman Mike Osuman SAN over unauthorized statement.

It would be recalled that Osuman issued a statement few days ago, claiming that ACF would only support Northern candidate for President in the 2027 general elections.

But ACF in a statement on Thursday co-signed the its Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT), Alhaji Bashir Muhammad Dalhatu and the Secretary General, Alhaji Murtala Aliyu, distanced itself from Osuman’s statement.

The group said Osuman did not consult nor discuss with the leadership and members before issuing the statement, adding that it was mere his personal opinion.

It said Osuman’s statement was rejected in its entirety and that he would be investigated.

” For this reason, the leadership of the ACF’s Board of Trustees and that of it’s NEC have decided to place Mr Mamman Mike Osuman on suspension with immediate effect. A Committee has been constituted for further investigation”, said ACF.
