ACSI set to launch campuses in new states — national director reveals

The National Director of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), Nigeria, Mr Olusegun Oludipe, has revealed that the association has begun plans to establish its presence in Kogi and Kaduna states.

He made this disclosure in his opening remarks at the ongoing ACSI Nigeria retreat organised for school owners and administrators, tagged “Scale Up”.

The two-day programme aims to help Christian school leaders build capacity, enhance systems and achieve sustainable growth.

Speaking at the event, Oludipe said ACSI Nigeria, which already has a presence in most states across the country, is set to formally register its presence in Kogi and Kaduna states.

According to him, the move aligns with the association’s broader mission to support educational institutions nationwide through training and resources, often in partnership with other organisations, to foster development in Christian education.

He added that the initiative has been welcomed by stakeholders in both states, with facilities being prepared for a proper launch. Upon commencement, he noted, the association would serve as many schools as possible within the jurisdictions.

Addressing some of the challenges facing the nation, Oludipe attributed foundational errors as a major cause of the country’s numerous issues.

“If the foundation can be settled, most of the issues faced in our nation, especially among schools and our youth, will be reduced,” he said.

“Have you seen the statistics of drug abuse and substance use among our youths? It is alarming. Oftentimes, these young individuals engage in such behaviour as a result of idleness. We need more youth innovation centres to support them. By God’s grace, we will do our best to contribute our quota. We all have a part to play. Let us all play our part,” Oludipe added.
