Nollywood star Rotimi Salami has released the official trailer for Allwell Ademola’s final directorial project, Kilanko (The Invincible Child), ahead of its cinema release.
Salami made the announcement via an Instagram post on Tuesday, describing the film as a reflection of Allwell’s legacy.
He noted that the project was a collective effort, with Allwell serving as director while he produced it. He explained that Allwell had put her heart into the movie before her passing, adding that he felt more scared than excited about releasing it.
Captioning the post, “Some mysteries run deeper than blood. Some pain cannot be spoken. Some stories must be seen to be believed,” Salami described the film as “an epic tale unlike anything witnessed before, where pain is hidden, sacrifice is sacred and mothers become deities”.
According to the producer, Kilanko is an epic movie that pays tribute to mothers’ sacrifices around the world. He urged fans to anticipate its nationwide cinema release on March 6, 2026.
Following the trailer release, Salami also shared a video of his mother praying for him, Allwell and their fans before her passing.
He encouraged fans to recreate the moment with their parents or loved ones and tag him in their posts as part of the initial promotion for the movie ahead of its release.
The movie features Nollywood veterans including Ibrahim Chatta, Yinka Quadri, Tina Mba, Rotimi Salami, Afeez Owo, Madam Saje, Saheed Balogun, Biola Bayo and the late Allwell Ademola, among others.
