Actors’ Guild raises alarm over abduction of Clemson Cornel, Cynthia Okereke

Actors Guild of Nigeria has raised the alarm over possible abduction of top Nollywood stars, Cynthia Okereke and Clemson Cornel
Monalisa Chinda Coker, Director of Communications for the AGN in press statement on Friday said the two actors have not been seen after they left film location.
Chinda said the two were reported missing after their family members confirmed that they didn’t return from Ozalla town in Enugu State where they had gone to shoot a movie.
The current assumption, the AGN said, is that they have been abducted, given the spate of kidnappings in the past months.
“The two members were suspected to have been kidnapped and this has increased fear amongst members about safety of Actors filming in the country.
“In view of this sad development, the national president of the guild, Ejezie Emeka Rollas has instructed all actors to avoid going to outskirt of cities to film except full security cover is provided to ensure their safety.
“The national president is shocked over this ugly incident and urged the security agencies to speed up investigations that would lead to their safe rescue.
“He equally appeals to all members to pray for the safe return of the thespians,” the statement said.
