Actress and filmmaker Bimbo Ademoye has announced the resolution of her copyright dispute over her YouTube movie, Where Love Lives, The matter, which had caused the film’s demonetization on the platform, was settled out of court.

In an Instagram post on Monday, Ademoye expressed heartfelt thanks to those who supported her, including her colleague in the movie industry, Uduak Isong, her close friends, her creative team, and her fans—whom she referred to as her “cyber family”—for helping report the impostor’s content until it was removed.

“God don’t play about me; that’s how I know He’s real. I want to say a very big thank you to my mother, @uduakisong1, for not resting until the issue was resolved. I love you forever, Mom. To @ugoccie and her team, thank you for standing by me and helping out. @sir.fela, thank you for always helping to make sure things are resolved,” she wrote.

“And most importantly, to my amazing cyber family! You reported Emmanuel Davies until the song was taken down on all platforms. I’m kicking my feet in the air like a little child. I love you guys so much.”

Ademoye revealed that she is still trying to locate the individual behind the impostor account, which used the fake name Emmanuel Davies. She had previously accused him of uploading a song from her movie without permission and claiming copyright over it, leading to the temporary demonetization of Where Love Lives on YouTube.

The actress described the financial, emotional, and mental stress she endured during the dispute, noting that revenue from the movie was temporarily diverted to the impostor’s account.

Released in December 2025, Where Love Lives has attracted millions of views, thanks to its compelling storyline and standout performances by actors including Uzor Arukwe, Chioma Nwosu, and Osas Ighodaro, who effectively conveyed the film’s message.

With the copyright issue now resolved, Bimbo Ademoye expressed relief and gratitude, marking a positive turn for the filmmaker and her supporters.
