Actress Sarah Martins reacts to backlash over infidelity comments

Nollywood actress and philanthropist, Sarah Martins, has reacted to the backlash that followed her comments on marital infidelity, after critics described her as a “pick me” for speaking against cheating.

The actress had earlier weighed in on the ongoing debate about infidelity, opposing the idea of cheating on one’s partner as payback for being cheated on. Her comments sparked criticism from social media users, who labelled her a “pick me” woman.

Critics alleged that her opinion stemmed from a desire to please men because she was desperate to get married.

Responding to the backlash, Sarah took to her Instagram page on Friday to defend her position, insisting that cheating is not a flex.

She wrote: “Call me pick me ambassador, no wahala, but I said what I said!”

The actress explained that cheating as revenge on an unfaithful partner could backfire, leading to sexually transmitted infections and other serious health consequences.
