Actress-turned-pastor Eucharia Anunobi slams ordainer over viral audio, denies allegations

Veteran actress and pastor, Eucharia Anunobi, has publicly criticised the founder of Fresh Oil Ministry International Church, Psalm Okpe, who also ordained her, while firmly denying allegations made against her.
Anunobi expressed her displeasure during a heated TikTok live session, where she described Okpe as a “monumental global shame” and faulted bloggers for circulating and amplifying the claims.
The controversy followed the circulation of an audio recording allegedly involving Psalm Okpe and another cleric, Martins, in which claims were made about alleged relationships with Anunobi and another pastor, Chikere Nwafor. The recording also contained an unverified allegation against a fellow clergyman.
In the audio, Okpe was heard claiming he had been in a relationship with Anunobi for several years while also dating Chikere.
Subsequently, Okpe issued a public apology, describing the audio as “disturbing” and saying he felt “very embarrassed” by the language used. He denied knowing Martins and said much of what was said in the recording was based on hearsay.
“I want to apologise to the body of Christ globally. It is not something to be proud of. As Christians, it is not in our character to live recklessly. I take full responsibility for being careless with my words,” he said.
Responding, Anunobi said Okpe had spoken under manipulation and had since admitted wrongdoing. She urged the public to verify reports online and condemned those publishing what she described as false narratives.
She ended her address with prayers, asking God to silence those she said had spoken falsely against her and describing the allegations as an attempt to tarnish her image.
