Adamawa governor honours Super Falcons coach with house, ₦50 million gift

The Head Coach of Nigeria’s Super Falcons, Justin Madugu, has been honoured by the Adamawa State Government for his role in leading the national women’s football team to victory at the 13th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri hosted Madugu at the Government House in Yola, in recognition of his contribution to Nigeria’s historic 10th WAFCON title and for bringing pride to Adamawa State.
During the reception, the governor announced a reward package comprising a fully furnished three-bedroom bungalow and a cash gift of ₦50 million for the coach.

Madugu, who hails from Numan Local Government Area of the state, was warmly received by state officials and dignitaries at the event.
Governor Fintiri described the coach’s achievement as a testament to the talent and resilience of indigenes of Adamawa, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to supporting excellence in sports and youth development.
“This honour is not only for you but for every young person in Adamawa who dares to dream. You have made us proud,” the governor said.

In his response, an emotional Coach Madugu expressed heartfelt appreciation to the governor and the people of Adamawa for the recognition and generous gesture.
He pledged to continue serving the nation with dedication while promoting the image of his home state on the global stage.
