ADC begins sale of nomination forms for ward, LG, state congresses

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has commenced the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for its forthcoming ward, local government, and state congresses, as well as its National Convention.

The party called on interested members to obtain the appropriate forms to contest elective positions at various levels of its internal structure.

The announcement was contained in a notice signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Pa Idigo, and shared on Sunday.

According to the notice, the Expression of Interest form for ward positions costs N2,000, while nomination forms are priced at N10,000 for Ward Chairman, N5,000 for Ward Secretary, and N3,000 for other ward executive positions.

At the local government level, nomination forms cost N40,000 for LGA Chairman, N30,000 for LGA Secretary, and N10,000 for other officials.

For state positions, the State Chairman nomination form is pegged at N500,000, while State Secretary forms cost N300,000. Other state executive positions attract a fee of N50,000 each.

The party also fixed the nomination fee for delegates to the National Convention at N10,000 per delegate, noting that each local government area is expected to produce one delegate.

ADC also outlined nomination requirements for aspirants, stating that each candidate must be endorsed by a specified number of nominators, with each nominator required to pay a non-refundable fee of N50.
