The African Democratic Congress senatorial candidate for Ondo North, Prince Foluso Mayowa Adefemi, has expressed confidence in defeating his opponents in the 2027 election, saying the district is ready for a fresh political direction.

Adefemi said the growing demand for better representation and meaningful development across the senatorial district would work in favour of the ADC at the poll.

In a statement on Friday, the candidate lamented what he described as years of inadequate attention to infrastructure, economic growth and opportunities in Ondo North despite its abundant human and natural resources.

He said the 2027 election would give voters an opportunity to change the political narrative by electing a senator who would make the interests of the people the priority.

“We are confident of victory in 2027 because our people are ready for a new direction. Ondo North has waited long enough for meaningful development and purposeful representation,” Adefemi said.

He promised that, if elected, he would pursue federal projects, economic opportunities and government interventions capable of improving the welfare of residents across the district.

Adefemi also pledged to run an open and accountable office, assuring constituents that they would have a voice in determining the issues he would champion at the National Assembly.

He urged voters across Ondo North to support the ADC, saying his victory would mark “a new dawn” and usher in stronger, people-oriented representation for the senatorial district.
