ADC presents viable alternative to rescue Nigeria, Osun — Aregbesola

By Deborah Oladejo, Osogbo –

The National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Rauf Aregbesola, has declared that the party stands as a viable alternative capable of addressing Nigeria’s deepening economic hardship, insecurity and governance failures.

Aregbesola spoke in Osogbo on Tuesday during the conclusion of the party’s Federal Constituency Tour across Osogbo/Olorunda/Irepodun/Orolu.

The former Osun State governor said Nigerians have endured unprecedented hardship due to what he described as the total failure of the ruling parties at all levels.

“There is no sector where they have not failed. They have disappointed Nigerians in almost every sphere. The economy is in dire straits, insecurity is ravaging the country, and the pitfalls of the present administration are evident.

“God has shattered the present government, and even the one at the centre. They can’t rig the election this time. We know their tactics. By August next year, we will certainly meet at Abere, Osun Government House. After August, we will still take over the presidency,” he said.

He described the ADC as the only viable alternative capable of liberating the people and improving the lives of the masses, noting that the party is prepared to correct governance failures and set Osun and Nigeria on the path of people-centred development.

Aregbesola, a former interior minister, pledged a government built on vision, mission and direction, urging supporters to intensify mobilisation and participate actively in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration exercise.

Earlier at his palace, the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun Larooye II, pledged his support for the ADC’s mission to reclaim Osun in 2026.
