Adeleke describes Makinde as transformative leader on 58th birthday

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has felicitated the Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde, on his 58th birthday, describing him as a strong agent of development, innovation and transformation.

In a congratulatory message issued by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, on Thursday, Adeleke described Makinde as a child of destiny, a man of grace and a leader with a fixated mind for the public good, public service and public welfare.

He cited Makinde’s birth, growth and evolution as “an embodiment of divine grace and blessings”, noting that the Oyo State governor stands out as a unique personality and a principled leader with the courage to defend his convictions, even in the face of opposition.

Adeleke said Makinde’s strong will and leadership style have positively reshaped politics in Oyo State and influenced the wider regional political space.

According to him, Makinde is an innovative administrator whose implementation of several schemes has holistically transformed Oyo State, adding that his capacity to design and execute public interest projects is acknowledged by friends and foes.

He noted that the governor’s ability to deliver major projects with ease reflects the competence of the engineer at the helm of Oyo governance and politics.

While urging the celebrant not to waver in his commitment to the people and democracy, Adeleke said he shared common affinities with Makinde in areas such as good governance, public welfare, pro-masses politics and the delivery of democratic dividends.

Adeleke added that Makinde shares his birthday with Jesus Christ, expressing prayers for more blessings and many fruitful years ahead on behalf of the people and government of Osun State.
