Ademola Lookman linked with loan move to Turkish league

Embattled Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman, could be set to leave Atalanta on loan, with Turkey emerging as a possible destination.

The Nigerian international has been frozen out of the Atalanta squad after submitting a transfer request to join Serie A rivals Inter Milan.

Despite his push for a move, Lookman remained at the Bergamo-based club as the summer transfer window shut yesterday across most of Europe.

Reports in Italy suggest that Atalanta are now weighing loan offers from Turkish clubs as they consider options for the unsettled winger.

According to CalcioMercato, discussions are ongoing, with Turkish sides expressing strong interest in securing Lookman’s services.

The Turkish press has also confirmed active proposals for the forward, signaling a possible exit route before their transfer window closes.

Unlike most European leagues, the Turkish transfer market remains open until September 12, 2025, giving Lookman and Atalanta more time to seal a deal.
