Adeyemi Adaramodu emerges APC consensus senatorial candidate in Ekiti South

The All Progressives Congress in Ekiti South Senatorial District has endorsed Senate spokesman, Adeyemi Adaramodu, as its consensus candidate for the 2027 senatorial election.

The resolution was conveyed in a letter made available to journalists in Abuja on Saturday.

Adaramodu, who chairs the Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, is the current representative of Ekiti South in the National Assembly.

The endorsement was addressed to the Ekiti State APC chairman and members of the State Executive Council for ratification.

The letter, jointly signed by the district chairman, Akindele Olusola, alongside other party leaders, stated that the decision followed extensive consultations across wards and local governments.

“After wide consultations with stakeholders and in line with the party’s guidelines encouraging consensus where feasible, we affirm Senator Adeyemi Adaramodu as our candidate for the 2027 election. The resolution was reached with overwhelming support at a stakeholders’ meeting, reflecting the collective will of members and the need to sustain unity within the party,” the statement read.

The stakeholders urged the state leadership to formalise the decision, noting that Adaramodu, a former member of the House of Representatives between 2019 and 2023, is deserving of their support.
