AFCON 2025: NFF boss optimistic about Nigeria’s chances

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Ibrahim Gusau, has expressed confidence in the Super Eagles’ prospects at the upcoming AFCON 2025 tournament.

Reacting to the draw, which placed Nigeria in Group C alongside Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania, Gusau remarked, “It is not a bad group, and I am optimistic that we will top the group at AFCON 2025.”

Gusau’s optimism is rooted in the team’s recent performances and the progress achieved under the current coaching team. He emphasized that with adequate preparation and strong teamwork, the Super Eagles are well-positioned to successfully navigate the group stage.

The NFF President also highlighted the importance of the tournament, assuring that the federation is committed to providing the necessary support to ensure the team’s success.

“We will do everything possible to ensure the Super Eagles are fully prepared for the tournament. We are confident they will make Nigeria proud,” Gusau affirmed.
