Afenifere National Youth Leader regains freedom

Abducted National President of the Afenifere Youth Council, Eniola Olajuni, has been released after 12 days in the kidnappers’ den.
The National Secretary of the Youths Council, Biodun Aderohunmu, confirmed his release on Saturday.
“He has been released”, he said.
It would be recalled that Olajuni was abducted on Monday, February 17, 2025, on his way to Abuja for a meeting.
Earlier, the Afenifere group had called for the immediate release of its Youth Council President, Prince Eniola Ojajuni.
In a communiqué signed by its Secretary General, Chief Sola Ebiseni, and National Publicity Secretary, Justice Faloye, Afenifere condemned the worsening security situation in the country.
“Members received reports of a young man, Prince Eniola Ojajuni, whose ordeal in the hands of kidnappers has been circulating on social media for almost a week,” the statement read.
The group urged the Ondo and Kogi state governments to take swift action, noting that the abduction occurred near the boundary of both states.
“The meeting called on the governments of Ondo and Kogi States, as well as relevant security agencies, to act without delay and ensure the safe rescue of the young man,” Afenifere stated.
