Nigeria has intensified its preparations to host the 14th African Armwrestling Championship with the official unveiling of the tournament’s mascot and jerseys.

According to the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), the development underscores the country’s readiness to stage a world-class competition.

The unveiling event, held in Abuja, was attended by dignitaries, sports administrators, government officials, and corporate stakeholders.

All attendees shared a common vision: to make Abuja 2025 the best edition of the African Armwrestling Championship in history.

The mascot—symbolizing power, resilience, and unity—was described as an embodiment of the values that define African athletes. The team jerseys were also hailed as symbols of pride, sacrifice, and national representation.

Over 20 countries are expected to participate in the championship, which is scheduled to take place in Abuja from July 23 to 27.
