After win over Libya, D’Tigers battle Uganda

Nigeria’s male basketball team, D’Tigers, will aim for a second victory as they square up against Uganda on Saturday.

The Nigerian team got off to a flying start, beating host Libya in the opening game of the Afrobasket 2025 qualifiers in Tripoli.

After their victory over the Libyans, the team looks poised to secure another win when they face Uganda in another Group B clash.

On Friday night, D’Tigers defeated Libya 75-70 after overcoming a 15-14 first-quarter loss.

The Libyans also won the second quarter 20-18 before the Nigerian side bounced back, taking the third quarter 20-16.

They then wrapped it up with a 23-19 fourth-quarter win, sealing an overall 75-70 victory.
