Oleksandr Usyk once again triumphed over Tyson Fury, securing a unanimous decision victory in their highly anticipated rematch on Saturday night in Saudi Arabia.
The Ukrainian fighter retained his unified heavyweight world titles, solidifying his status as a generational great with another close points win. The victory marks the second time Usyk has defeated Fury, having handed the British fighter his first career loss via split decision in May.
At Riyadh’s Kingdom Arena, Usyk’s tactical brilliance and determination shone through as he retained the WBA (Super), WBC, and WBO titles.
While Fury, 36, found moments of success in the fight’s early rounds and landed some of the night’s more eye-catching shots, it was Usyk’s higher punch volume and cleaner work that ultimately prevailed.
The judges unanimously scored the bout 116-112 in favor of the 37-year-old champion, cementing his dominance in the heavyweight division.
