Agege: Obasa secures APC House of Reps nomination

The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt (Hon) Mudashiru Obasa, has emerged as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the House of Representatives seat in the Agege Federal Constituency following the party’s primary election conducted across the 13 political wards in the constituency.
Obasa emerged unopposed after delegates and party members unanimously endorsed his candidacy.
The primary election, described by party officials as peaceful and well-organised, recorded a strong turnout of party members, stakeholders, and supporters who gathered across the constituency to affirm their support for the seasoned lawmaker.

Speaking after the exercise, party leaders and supporters described Obasa’s emergence as a victory for continuity, effective representation, and progressive governance.
They expressed confidence that his legislative experience and long-standing public service record would strengthen representation for the constituency at the national level.
Obasa has served for several years as Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly and remains one of the most influential political figures in Lagos State politics.
His emergence as the APC candidate is expected to further energise the party’s supporters and consolidate its political structure within the constituency ahead of the general elections.
