Aig-Imoukhuede urges LJLA fellows to embrace leadership, public service

Fellows of the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy (LJLA) have been encouraged to approach leadership with vision, purpose, and a deep commitment to public service.

This charge was given during a fireside chat with Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, Founder of the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation and Chairman of Access Holdings, at his residence in Ikoyi, Lagos.

Speaking to the Fellows, Aig-Imoukhuede emphasized that public service is the highest calling, requiring both competence and an unwavering passion for societal progress. He commended the Fellows for their dedication, describing them as humanists whose leadership should prioritize collective well-being.

He further urged them to develop a strong personal vision, remain true to their values, and take bold steps to create lasting impact.

“Everything you need to succeed is already within you. I encourage you to remain steadfast in your commitment to public service, not just in the early years of your careers but throughout your journey to positions of influence,” he stated.

Echoing his remarks, LJLA’s Executive Secretary, Mrs. Ayisat Agbaje-Okunade, reaffirmed the Academy’s mission to groom transformational leaders. “At the Academy, we are dedicated to shaping visionary leaders, and this session with Mr. Aig-Imoukhuede was both insightful and inspiring.

“The discussion underscored LJLA’s core mission of raising leaders equipped to drive meaningful change and elevate the nation’s future,” she said.

Marvellous Olusegun, one of the Fellows, described the session as a call to action, reinforcing the need to stay true to one’s purpose and contribute meaningfully to society.
