Aiyedatiwa appoints Oladimeji Abimbola as Ondo Sports Council chairman

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has approved the appointment of a new chairman and two members of the Ondo State Sports Council.
The appointments, which take immediate effect, according to the governor, are part of the administration’s efforts to reposition sports development and strengthen the sector across the state.
In a statement issued on Sunday by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, Oladimeji Abimbola was named the new chairman of the council.
Other members appointed are Babatunde Martins Boriwa and Ibiloye Matthew Abiodun.
The governor charged the new council members to deploy their experience and expertise towards advancing sports development in the state.
Aiyedatiwa specifically urged them to promote grassroots participation and create an environment that would support sporting excellence among athletes in Ondo State.
He expressed confidence in their capabilities, affirming that the new members would contribute meaningfully to the administration’s efforts to reposition the state’s sports sector.
