Aiyedatiwa inspects Ondo Judiciary Complex, assures timely completion

Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work on the ongoing construction of the new Ondo State Judiciary Complex in Akure.
The project, named after the late former Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, was flagged off on December 27, 2024, with a completion timeline of 48 weeks. Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed optimism that the facility would be delivered on schedule.
During an unscheduled inspection visit to the site on Saturday, May 23, 2025, the Governor, accompanied by the Special Adviser on Infrastructure, Lands and Housing, Engr. Abiola Olawoye, assessed progress at the High Court Complex in Akure.
The new judiciary complex is expected to include a ceremonial court, modular courts, a registry, a library, exhibition buildings, a utility structure, and modern parking facilities. It is designed to enhance the administration of justice and improve the speed of legal processes in the state.
Speaking after the inspection, Governor Aiyedatiwa commended the contractor for maintaining quality standards and adhering to the construction timeline.
“I am happy with how the project is going. From what I have seen today, the work is progressing rapidly and with high quality. This is a clear sign that the project will be completed as planned,” the Governor stated.
He added, “I received a report from the Special Adviser that the project is on track both in terms of timeline and budget. We are working towards completing it within the set one-year target.”
