Aiyedatiwa’s community aides will drive grassroots development, Fasoranti says

The Ondo State Government has expressed confidence that the newly appointed senior special assistants on Community Engagement will strengthen grassroots governance and accelerate development across the state.

The Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, stated this on Thursday when he received the three aides during a courtesy visit to his office.

Fasoranti said Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s appointments demonstrated his commitment to bringing competent and experienced individuals into government, adding that their expertise would contribute to effective decision-making and community development.

He identified the appointees as Akindele Adeniyi, Gbologe Olufunmi Alex and Obayan Theophilus Ayodeji, expressing confidence in their ability to effectively represent the interests of their respective senatorial districts.

According to him, appointing individuals with strong grassroots connections would help bridge the gap between the government and communities across the state.

He therefore urged the aides to use their positions to deepen engagement with residents and ensure that concerns raised at the community level were effectively communicated to the government.

Fasoranti added that their understanding of grassroots politics would be valuable in strengthening the government’s connection with the people and ensuring that development initiatives reflected the needs of local communities.

He expressed optimism that the appointees would prioritise grassroots governance and contribute to accelerated development across the 18 local government areas of Ondo State.
