Ajimobi presents copies of letters of credence to Austria’s chief of protocol

Nigeria’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the Republic of Austria and the International Organisations in Vienna, Dr. (Mrs.) Florence Ajimobi, has presented copies of her Letters of Credence (Copie d’Usage) to the Chief of Protocol of the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs, Ambassador Maximilian Hennig.

The presentation, which took place on Monday, marks a key diplomatic step ahead of the formal presentation of her Letters of Credence to the President of Austria, Alexander Van der Bellen.

Speaking after the ceremony, Ajimobi expressed appreciation to the Austrian government for the warm welcome and reception extended to her upon her arrival in Vienna.

She also thanked Ambassador Hennig for the arrangements made for the presentation of the Copie d’Usage, describing the professionalism, efficiency and courtesy shown to her delegation as commendable.

The ambassador conveyed the goodwill of the Government and people of Nigeria to Austria, reaffirming Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening the longstanding bilateral relationship between both countries.

She said her mission would focus on deepening cooperation in trade, investment, education, culture, multilateral diplomacy and other areas of mutual interest.

Ajimobi also expressed optimism about formally presenting her Letters of Credence to President Van der Bellen and said she looked forward to working closely with the Austrian authorities throughout her tenure as Nigeria’s ambassador and permanent representative.
