Wife of the former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, Dr. (Mrs.) Florence Ajimobi, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Chief Lamidi Ajadi.

She described his passing as a significant personal loss to her and the Ajimobi family, noting that he was a father figure and a major pillar of support throughout the years.

In a condolence message, Mrs. Ajimobi stated that although Chief Ajadi died at a ripe old age, the news of his demise left her deeply shaken and brought back painful memories of her own personal losses.

“It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that I extend my deepest condolences on the passing of Chief Lamidi Ajadi. His transition has evoked painful memories of the deaths of my beloved husband, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, and our cherished daughter, Mrs. Bisola Kola-Daisi,” the statement read.

She lauded Chief Ajadi as a man of integrity, generosity, and unwavering commitment to community development, describing him as a business leader who balanced progress with preserving cultural values.

“Many sought his counsel, and his wisdom served as a beacon during uncertain times. Like my late husband, who transformed Oyo State’s infrastructure and governance, Chief Ajadi leaves behind a legacy of tangible and spiritual contributions,” she added.

Addressing his family, she said, “Your pain is shared by all of us who saw him as a father figure. The loss of a patriarch is a deep fracture. Draw strength from his wisdom, his love, and the memories you hold dear.”

She concluded by praying, “May Almighty Allah grant Baba Aljannah Firdaus. May He comfort all the bereaved and grant them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
