The member representing Oluyole Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, has defended her performance in office, saying her achievements should be assessed based on facts and verifiable evidence rather than political rhetoric.

In a statement made available to journalists, the lawmaker responded to comments attributed to the Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Hon. Akeem Olatunji, urging him to focus on accounting for his stewardship instead of making what she described as misleading claims about her record in office.

Akande-Sadipe also clarified her involvement in the Ijebu Igbo–Itaegba–Owonowen Road project, stating that it was not one of her constituency projects but a Federal Government initiative that had suffered major setbacks before she assumed office. She said her contribution came through sustained engagement, legislative oversight and collaboration with relevant authorities, which helped revive the project.

She urged members of the public and the media to verify the facts surrounding the road project by consulting officials of the Federal Ministry of Works in Oyo and Ogun states, as well as community leaders and residents along the project corridor who are familiar with its history and recent progress.

The federal lawmaker maintained that she has facilitated several infrastructural projects across Oluyole Federal Constituency, including the construction of classroom blocks, installation of electricity transformers, provision of boreholes and solar-powered streetlights aimed at improving the living conditions of residents.

She further disclosed that she facilitated the construction of five pedestrian bridges along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway to improve the safety of commuters and residents, adding that work is ongoing on 11 additional boreholes across Oluyole Local Government.

Akande-Sadipe also revealed that plans are underway for the installation of 150 solar-powered streetlights in communities across the constituency, describing the projects as part of her commitment to delivering meaningful and sustainable development to the people she represents.

She reiterated that the projects highlighted represent only a fraction of her interventions since assuming office and pledged to continue pursuing initiatives that would improve infrastructure, enhance public welfare and promote the overall development of Oluyole Federal Constituency.
