Akpabio leads Nigerian delegation to Namibian president’s funeral

Nigeria’s Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, is leading a Nigerian delegation to Windhoek today for the State Funeral of the departed President of Namibia, Dr Hage Geingob.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu appointed Senator Akpabio as his Special Envoy and Leader of the Nigerian delegation to the occasion. Others on the entourage are the Honourable Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Mr Zephaniah Jisalo, and the Special Adviser to the President on Political Affairs. Mr Ya’u Shehu Darazo.

The late Namibian President passed on in hospital on February 4, 2024, some weeks after he was diagnosed with cancer.
