Natasha accuses Akpabio, Bello, Ododo of plotting violence at homecoming rally

Suspended Kogi Central Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has expressed her eagerness to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr with her constituents despite concerns over security.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Akpoti-Uduaghan alleged that any outbreak of violence during her visit should be blamed on Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo, and former Governor Yahaya Bello.

“My dear people of Kogi Central, I look forward to our PEACEFUL Sallah celebrations today,” she wrote. “However, should we be met with or infiltrated by violence, Nigerians should hold Gov Òdodo, Yahaya Bello & SP Godswill Akpabio wholly responsible.”

Her remarks came shortly after the Kogi State Police Command advised her to cancel a planned Eid-el-Fitr celebration rally in the central senatorial district.

On Monday, her media team dismissed speculation that the visit had been called off, despite the Kogi State government’s ban on rallies and public gatherings due to what it described as “credible security reports.”
