Al-Ahly of Egypt crowned world’s most decorated football club

Egyptian giants Al-Ahly have been recognized as the most decorated football club in the world, boasting an astonishing 129 titles.

This recognition was confirmed in a publication released by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) on Friday night.

The IFFHS report, available on their official website, provides an updated ranking of football clubs with the most silverware in history.

The publication also highlighted a recent milestone achieved by Spanish club Barcelona, which secured its 100th trophy by winning the Spanish Super Cup. This victory made Barcelona the eighth club to join the exclusive “100 Trophies Club.”

The IFFHS noted:
“A few days ago, Barcelona won the 100th trophy in their history (Spanish Super Cup). They became the 8th club in football history to reach this milestone. Here is the ranking of the clubs with the most trophies. It is led by the Egyptian Al-Ahly (129).”

Cairo-based Al-Ahly has consistently demonstrated dominance on both the domestic and continental fronts, excelling in the Egyptian Premier League, the CAF Champions League, and other prestigious competitions.
