Musician, Davido, has asked his fans to give ALAT by Wema the best birthday by opening one million new accounts on their fifth anniversary.
Davido announced this on his Twitter page on Monday.
“Yo! ALAT by WEMA is 5 today and we goin crazy! You know as e dey go! I need y’all to join me and give them the biggest birthday gift ever! Need 1m accounts opened today!! Download app and sign up now. Givin out gifts to some lucky people at random intervals,” he tweeted.

The musician asked the new customers to use his promo code 30BG as the referral code to track the downloads.
Davido became ALAT’s ambassador after raising N200m in a viral virtual fundraising to celebrate his 28th birthday via social media December last year.
After announcing that his friends should send him money to celebrate his birthday, he opened an ALAT account to track the inflow.
Meanwhile, Davido’s call has started yielding results, with the Wema bank announcing 100,000 new downloads of the ALAT app in 50 minutes.
The bank announced this in a tweet from ALAT’s verified Twitter handle.
“Over 100k accounts in 50 minutes? 30BG coming through for @davido. We love it. Oya unto the next level. Let’s make it 200k accounts!!!” the bank tweeted.
