Alexx Ekubo’s family fixes burial arrangements for late actor

The family of the late Alexx Ekubo has officially announced his burial arrangements following the actor’s death after a prolonged cancer battle.

The late actor’s family took to his Instagram page on Monday to announce the scheduled arrangements of his funeral rites as contained in a flier shared with the public. Ekubo will be laid to rest on June 18, 2026, in Abia State.

The family also provided other details of the burial arrangements, including a Service of Songs, which will be held in Lekki, Lagos, on June 10, followed by a wake-keep programme slated for June 17, 2026.

Guests are expected to be dressed in white as they attend his final interment programme slated for June 18 in his hometown of Arochukwu, Abia State. Reception will follow immediately at Mary Slessor School, Amanagwu Village, Arochukwu, Abia State.

The actor passed away on May 11 at the age of 40 after quietly battling advanced metastatic kidney cancer.

The family also requested that the public keep the late actor, his wife, and his grieving relatives in their prayers.
